About famous antiques

Famous Antiques Ltd., have been supplying fine antique jewellery and selected modern pieces to trade customers in Europe and Australia for over twentyfive years.

 

In the United Kingdom, our Managing Director,  has been dealing in antique jewellery for more than forty years, after training in the family business, which was started in London in 1864.  For many years he dealt in antiques from Grays Antiques Market, off Bond Street in London.  Now he lives in the Georgian town of Bath, with his wife,  who looks after the internet side of the business.

 

In Australia, our Director,  lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.  He served his time as an apprentice watchmaker in a retail jewellery store and on completion of his training, travelled widely, working in jewellery retailing, manufacturing, group buyer, importing & wholesale, brand manager, and now in antique jewellery.

 

Most of our jewellery is sourced in the United Kingdom, and we have items from the Georgian period, through Victorian mourning jewellery, Art Nouveau pieces, and right up to the present day, with well designed platinum and diamond modern pieces.
